Things We’re Loving Lately: Spring Edition

Warm weather is here to stay and we couldn’t be happier about it! We’ve been taking our workouts outside, cooking up a storm and lingering over dinners enjoyed outside. A new season means a fresh new start and along with that comes some of our favorite foods and activities. Read on below to hear about some of the things we’ve been loving this spring!

SMOOTHIES AND SMOOTHIE BOWLS. The second the weather shows any sign of warming up, we’re all aboard the smoothie train. We love packing in loads of fruits and veggies first thing in the morning; it takes some of the pressure off of loading up on them throughout the rest of the day and gives us that fantastic boost of energy to start the day {no coffee required!}. HEALTHY PEANUT BUTTER CUPS. We all love the taste of Reese’s peanut butter cups, but if we’re being honest, we don’t love what they’re made of. What if you could have that same great taste made with more wholesome ingredients? Well, look no further than Monique and Lee to put a healthy spin on a favorite recipe! Fit Foodie Finds recently hosted a #NutButterCupWeek on her blog {dreamy, right?}. Monique posted these Homemade Healthy Peanut Butter Cups a while back as well, which are a must-make! Any way you spin it, we’re all about this trend.

SWITCHING UP OUR WORKOUT ROUTINE. We truly believe that the way to maintain a consistent workout routine is to mix it up. If you’re feeling bored with your usual routine, try something new! For Lee, this has been frequenting her local bouldering gym {you can read more about it here}. It’s not only something active to do after work, but it’s also incredibly social and allows time to connect with people in a fun new way! Monique has been changing things up by trying out a hip hop dance class in Chicago. While it’s a lot harder than it looks, it’s an amazing workout and seriously takes you out of your comfort zone; the perfect way to revamp your workout routine.

AMBITIOUS HOME. The entrepreneurial spirit runs strong in the HGC Community, especially with our founders! Monique recently launched a vintage rug and home good site with her husband called Ambitious Home. Their Instagram alone is enough to make us want to redesign our entire living room. We’re obsessed!

TRUNK CLUB ACTIVEWEAR. If you haven’t heard of Trunk Club before, then you’re in for a serious treat. Who needs to go to the mall when you can have a personal stylist send you a box full of amazing clothes? After filling out your style profile, you can chat with your stylist about specific things you’re looking for and they’ll help put together a trunk that you’ll love. Recently, they launched their Activewear Trunk, which includes apparel from brands like Nike, Zella, Ivy Park, Alo Yoga and more. Is there anything better than a new workout outfit?!
