Glow Girl Feature: Kim Caro

We are thrilled to announce a brand new series on the blog, spotlighting members of our community. The Glow Girl feature is designed to highlight YOU the fabulous members of our #HGCcommunity, because you are what make the Healthy Glow Collective what it is. Anyone is eligible to apply to be featured (just fill out this super short survey) however priority is given to participants who are using the Healthy Glow Guide so we can share their experience with the program.

Best thing she’s read or listened to lately: You Are a Badass: How to Start Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life

Favorite #healthyglowguide recipe: Healthy Turkey Chili, because it makes for a great work week lunch!

According to Kim, she was inspired to join our community because it’s not about strict schedules or meal plans. She loves the laid back vibe and built-in support system.

Her favorite part about the Healthy Glow Guide is that it’s just that: a guide. There is no guilt if you miss a workout or skip a meal, because it is all adjustable and customizable!

And because she’s not a big cook (though she loves to bake!), she was excited to find that the recipes aren’t overwhelming and are easy to follow. Plus, the organized grocery lists make it super easy to know how much to buy without requiring her to sort through recipes and pick and choose what to buy. #winwin

Her best advice?

If following strict programs and schedules makes you feel guilty, don’t do it! She tried that for years and always felt frustrated or ended up quitting when she felt like she was behind or couldn’t “catch up”.

She says: “You should have fun doing your workouts and not beat yourself up if you miss one. Find what works for you physically but also mentally!”

And that’s exactly why this year Kim has committed to just doing workouts she’s in the mood for rather than relying on strict schedules. Which of course, includes #healthyglowguide workouts and boutique studio hopping around Denver.
